We are seeking a Security Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team, helping us design and secure our clients’ IT and OT environments.

 

Security Solutions Architect

As a Security Solution Architect, you will be responsible for development, integration, and delivery of cyber security services to various customers. Responsibilities include working with sales and bids teams to identify potential opportunities, conducting workshops, developing proposals, and collaborating on technical bids.  This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, technologies, and best practices, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, IT, and operations, to ensure that security strategies align with organizational goals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers working with your Account Manager and the local partners
  • Identify and document specific problems with prospective and current customers which can be solved through the deployment of integrated solutions
  • Architect and propose validated solutions which address the identified cybersecurity problems in each unrivaled environment
  • Ensure ongoing customer happiness, support, and adoption
  • Continuous self-improvement and learning to maintain technical leadership of applicable technologies (data center, SD-WAN, SDN, public cloud, security, networking, etc.)
  • Understand and effectively differentiate against our top competitors
  • Act as the customer advocate for any issues that require technical assistance and follow up with the customer until the issue is resolved
  • Ensure security technology designs and implementations solve clients’ requirements and challenges
  • Develop complete security solutions for current and new service offerings, considering all aspects of security architecture including business and technical requirements, sizing, and infrastructure requirements
  • Client focused thinking with a strong combination of technical and business relevance, ability to build big-picture vision and to perform deep dive on specific technical topics or seek adequate support
  • Thinks out-of-the-box and with good risk analysis skills to analyse and explain the risks involved in using or bypassing proposed security solutions & technologies
  • Partner with internal and external sales teams to plan and organize sales strategies for the security solutions practice
  • Engage in continuous learning by proactively expanding technical depth in products, solutions, and services and acquiring certifications in advanced technologies for iON’s security partner certification requirements when appropriate
  • Provide feedback to technology leaders where opportunities exist to improve offerings, design, and delivery execution
  • Influence, guide, support and collaborate with customers to develop their IT security strategy
  • Conduct business-focused security solution presentations at Company, Customer, and Partner events and meetings
  • Understand and effectively present security solutions to technical and non-technical audiences

 

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience with next-generation firewalls, systems installation, configuration and administration of routers/switches, UNIX/Linux, and Windows-based systems
  • Experience that emphasizes L2-L4 Networks (L2 switching architectures including Spanning Tree, IP routing that includes OSPF and BGP, and L4 Load balancing)
  • Experience and knowledge of modern network threats and malware, network forensics, automation tools and technologies, and endpoint security technologies
  • Significant industry certifications (SANS, CISSP, CCNP, CISA, CISM, etc)
  • Recent experience in a cyber-security client facing position (Pre-Sales Systems Engineer, Consulting, Integration, Solution Management, Security Architect)
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex multivariate problems and find a systematic approach to gain a quick resolution
  • Mature and effective time-management skills
  • Previous work in the enterprise networking security space
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal and presentations skills
  • Able to communicate effectively with technical, non-technical and business audiences
  • Combine technical & commercial considerations into the decision-making process
  • Proficient in quickly understand client facing complex problems and advise effective solutions
  • Able to identify pitfalls and improvements in cyber security processes and tools
  • Have a strong knowledge on cyber security technical controls
  • Demonstrate understanding and context across the broader IT infrastructure stack
  • Good understanding of cloud architectures and cloud enabled cyber controls
  • Show proficiency of written and verbal communication skills (including technical writing and presentations) with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively, both internally and externally
  • Self-starter, flexible, adaptable, highly organized, and proactive
  • Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced work environment and to demonstrate thoughtful leadership in assessing problems/opportunities and recommending an approach to solving problems and pursuing opportunities

 

Desirable Criteria

  • Extensive experience in cyber security related activities and controls
  • Broad range of experience in cyber security technology and vendors, for example Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, Zscaler, Proofpoint, Forescout, Splunk, Tanium, Infoblox, Tenable, F5 Networks, SentinelOne, Cisco
  • Large Enterprise / SI / MSP working experience preferred
  • CISSP / CISM / CISA qualification preferred
